The Bible is our instruction for life and living in a way that pleases God! We can confidently run everything through Scripture to find answers to these questions. How do we respond to social injustice, laws we disagree with, or words of governing leaders? Scripture is filled with these answers. So often, believers are faced with challenges of the world. Everything in Scripture points to Jesus, even in the Old Testament! It’s a beautiful reminder that God has been redeeming all of creation through His Son Jesus since Adam and Eve ate the fruit. In Scripture, we read stories filled with God’s love, promises for His people, and instructions on living a godly life. Reading God’s Word helps us grow closer to Him as we learn His character and provision for His people.
Just like praying is communicating with God, so is reading the Bible! It’s been said that the Bible is God’s love letter to His people. Your word is a lamp to guide my feet and a light for my path. Your word is a lamp to my feet and a light to my path.
